specialist clinic with a team of experience orthopaedic consultants, Dr Chew
Chee Ping and Dr Fong Poh Ling. Our clinic provides exceptional care and expertise

Dr Chew Chee Ping, an MOH-accredited,
fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, specializes in shoulder, knee, and
arthroscopic sports surgery. With extensive experience as the clinical lead of
the Sports Service in Sengkang General Hospital and as a consultant Orthopaedic
Surgeon in both Sengkang General Hospital and Singapore General Hospital, Dr
Chew is a trusted expert in his field. Dr Chew received his medical degree from
the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2003. He completed his specialist
training in Singapore and became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of
Edinburgh (Orthopaedics) in 2014. Dr Chew further honed his skills through a
one-year clinical fellowship at Charité-Universitätsmedizin in Berlin, Germany,
under the guidance of internationally renowned surgeons Prof Markus Scheibel
and Prof Carsten Perka. He also completed an AO Trauma Fellowship with Prof
Ralph Hertel in Bern, Switzerland, focusing on managing shoulder injuries and
degenerative conditions. Dr Chew's dedication to patient care is evident
through his compassionate approach and strong rapport with his patients. He has
received numerous service quality awards during his tenure in public
institutions, highlighting his commitment to providing excellent care.
Dr Fong Poh Ling, an experienced orthopaedic
surgeon, completed her training and obtained her Fellowship of the Royal
College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Orthopaedic Surgery in 2013. She further
specialized in spine surgery at Singapore General Hospital and gained valuable
experience in the field of sagittal balance and degenerative scoliosis during
her scholarship in Bordeaux, France, awarded by the MOH HMDP. Dr Fong's primary
interest lies in the treatment of aging and degenerative spine conditions, with
a particular focus on sagittal balance and deformity. She collaborates closely
with hospitals in China, specifically Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital and Qingdao
Municipal Hospital, where she contributes to deformity work and education.
Being bilingual, Dr Fong has delivered talks on spine issues in Mandarin and
published an article on neck pain in Lianhe Zaobao. As the first female spine
surgeon in the Singapore Spine Community, Dr Fong actively participates in the
diversity committee of the Singapore Spine Society. She plays a crucial role in
engaging female residents and promoting greater female representation in
collaboration with the AOSpine global platform.
